Friend,

At a press conference yesterday, Donald Trump was asked if he'd guarantee a peaceful transition of power if he lost the election. But instead, he said that "we'll see what happens" and that if we "get rid of the ballots" there will be no transfer of power.

This is chilling and dangerous. The president is expressing an explicit goal of "getting rid" of ballots that he fears won't favor him. Trump's words are an attack on the fundamental bedrock of our democracy: free and fair elections.

We say this a lot, but it bears repeating today: Trump is the person John Katko chose to endorse in the 2020 election, saying that the country is better off today than three years ago.

Trump's authoritarian behavior is only enabled when his party falls in line behind him. This November, we cannot just defeat Trump -- we must defeat those who failed to stand up to him when it mattered most.

Our race to defeat John Katko and flip this seat from red to blue is a toss-up. Polls have it statistically tied. So every bit of grassroots support matters.

The stakes have never been higher -- please donate today to help Dana win!
