Our rural communities are some of the most misunderstood places in the country. The truth is, despite the narrative we see too often in corporate media, small town folks are deeply involved in fights for clean water, racial justice, immigrant rights, climate justice, and more.
And let’s be really clear: corporations and those in the billionaire class who want to divide us against each other would love nothing more than for progressives to abandon rural communities–just like the political establishment has done.
We’re not going to do that, to say the least.
On Saturday, People’s Action and Bernie Sanders are holding a town hall meeting to talk about how we fight for rural America, and we want you to join us. R.S.V.P. now.
You may have heard about the recent Rolling Stone story that revealed that our deep canvassing work in rural America is some of the most effective political organizing taking place in the 2020 race. We’re going to talk about that and how you can get involved. And we’ll hear directly from inspirational organizers fighting for change in communities left behind by the establishment.
We’ll also have some special entertainment on hand to help us celebrate what we can accomplish when we come together as one to fight for the future.
