This past year, scientists have been warning us that our planet is heading towards completely irreversible damage. We had a very short window to act, and it just got shorter.

According to the Potsdam Climate Institute, politicians around the world have to act by the end of 2020 for any efforts to make a difference. That leaves us with 16 months to save the planet.

And here's the truth: The president doesn't care about climate change (we explain more below). It's time for us to take up the challenge – state by state.

When faced with facts, Trump calls climate change a hoax. On Twitter alone, the president has raised doubts about climate change more than 100 times.

Now holding the highest office in the land, Trump's skepticism has become policy. In his first year in office, Trump even took the United States out of the landmark Paris Climate Agreement.

What the president doesn't seem to understand is that his actions have consequences.

Climate change is already having impacting how we live. Global temperatures are soaring, once-in-a-lifetime storms are occurring annually, and sea levels are rising at unprecedented rates.
