Chairman Langworthy to FOIL Correspondence and Results of Cuomo’s License Plate Tax Contest
Will Hand Deliver Request to Governor’s Office at Capitol
New York Republican Chairman Nick Langworthy will personally submit a Freedom of Information Law request to the Governor’s office for all documentation related to Cuomo’s license plate tax contest at a press conference today at 1PM in Albany.
Cuomo, who recently announced that motor vehicle owners would be forced to purchase new license plates, invited New Yorkers to participate in a “statewide survey” to vote on a preferred design for the new plates. Four of the designs were remarkably similar featuring the Statue of Liberty, while the fourth design was of the Cuomo Bridge, named after his late-father. Cuomo has not made public the results of the vote.
