Urge 41 senators -- who made public statements in 2016 not to fill a Supreme Court vacancy in an election year -- not to contradict themselves now in 2020, especially as voting has already begun.

John,
Justice Ginsberg's dying wish was not: Wait until after my funeral before nominating a replacement to the Supreme Court.
RBG used her final words to try to protect democracy by urging our leaders not to fill her seat until after the next president is installed.
It's a sentiment that Mitch McConnell and 40 other GOP senators SHOULD also share ... since they said the same thing in public statements* to justify blocking President Obama's nominee Merrick Garland in 2016.
It was a shameless move. Partisan politics at its worst. A tangible threat to our democracy. A permanent stain upon the integrity of the highest court in the land.
Apparently, McConnell and his cronies can go even lower.
Right now, McConnell is racing to fill Justice Ginsberg's seat even as voting in the 2020 election has already begun! It's breathtakingly brazen.
There's no chance of convincing McConnell to do the right thing. But perhaps there's a chance to persuade other GOP senators to stand by their OWN words.
Together, let's urge these 41 senators not to be the worst kind of hypocrites. And for some, apparently, it's still not too late.**

Tell them to abide by their own words and not to sacrifice country over cunning, calculated political opportunism.
Thank you!

P.S. Today is National Voter Registration Day. It's a great day to ensure your family and friends are registered -- and to take action as if the very foundation of our democracy is at stake. Because it is. #SaveSCOTUS
