Friend,

This week is Opioid and Heroin Epidemic Awareness week, and we are given the
somber reminder that addiction remains a major threat to our loved ones, our
friends, and those in our communities.

In the United States, drug overdose deaths continue to rise sharply and now
surpass 67,000 a year, with each fatality representing a family crushed by the
overwhelming loss of a loved one.

As the Vice Chair of the Bipartisan Heroin Task Force, I have made it my
mission to unite families, communities, law enforcement and healthcare
providers to fight back against the evils of addiction.

And as the author of the INTERDICT Act, which was signed into law, I have
brought both parties together to provide greater resources to law enforcement
to stop the flow of deadly fentanyl from Mexico into communities across the
country.

I am continuously looking for ways to help combat this epidemic and bring
solutions to those who are suffering and the families that have dealt with its
tragedies.

Together we have the ability to make real change and continue to help those
who need it most.

Sign our petition today to stand with me to demand action to combat the
scourge of opioid addiction in Pennsylvania!
