Last night we faced a terrible loss as a paragon of justice and a champion of the people passed away. Ruth Bader Ginsburg was an inspiration to us all, not just as one of the fairest justices on the Supreme Court, but as a genuine person who was a true friend of the American people. She was truly the best of us.
Justice Ginsburg said that it was her fervent wish that a new Justice would not be appointed to the Supreme Court until a new president is installed. The president and his enabler Mitch McConnell have already made it crystal clear that, in a hypocritical move, they will attempt to push through a new Justice during a lame-duck session. This shows just how scared they are of what will happen in November, and of losing the ability to skew the Supreme Court hard-right for decades to come.
Friends, I say let’s make their nightmare a reality.
In Georgia, we have the power to flip two influential seats in the U.S. Senate. Two senate seats to save the Supreme Court for decades to come.
