We hope this email finds you well.

First, if your household has not filled out the Census ([link removed]) , we urge you to do so now before it is too late. It's up to each of us to ensure New York City receives the congressional seats to which it is entitled.

Why is the Census such a mad rush this year? Because Donald Trump and the Republican administration in Washington are using every tool at their disposal to suppress the votes of Democrats, young people, and people of color.

Our best chance to stop this erosion of our democratic norms is to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in November. But that won't enough. We have to make sure we send people to Washington and Albany.

In 2018, with your help, we ousted two Trump Republicans from their seats in Brooklyn, and replaced them with Rep. Max Rose and State Senator Andrew Gounardes. Congressman Rose and State Senator Gounardes have both shown remarkable leadership in advancing a progressive agenda.

They are now each facing tough reelection battles and BYD has pledged to help. On Tuesday September 22 at 6:00 PM we are co-hosting an online phone bank for Max Rose with Central Brooklyn Independent Democrats and Independent Neighborhood Democrats. On Saturday September 26 at 12:00 PM, BYD is hosting a digital phone bank for State Senator Gounardes. Please fill out this form ([link removed]) to RSVP.

No experience with phone banking is necessary to help! You can do your part to turn out voters on election day from the safety and comfort of your own home.
