We just breathed a HUGE sigh of relief:

Judge blocks Trump administration plan to shorten census deadline

A judge just BLOCKED Trump from cutting the Census short by over a month!

But this victory is only temporary -- we have just a few short weeks to muster enough public support to defend the U.S. Census from Trump's illegal interference! So we're asking 30,000 Progressive List members to sign our grassroots petition and SAVE the Census:

Look -- the Constitution requires a census every ten years. It's how we determine which states get the most representation in Congress and even how we allocate money for things like roads, schools, and hospitals.

And it's ESPECIALLY important for communities of color. Studies show that people of color are historically undercounted in the census.

That means less representation in Congress and less money flowing into communities that have been marginalized for decades. And that's exactly what Trump wants.

So we're mobilizing supporters across the country to join our grassroots petition and SAVE the 2020 Census. [30,000 SIGNATURES NEEDED] Will you sign your name today?

There's no way around it: this is undemocratic.

The Census is CRITICAL to making sure our communities get the resources, facilities, and services that they so desperately need -- especially in the middle of a global health crisis.

Trump's attacks could leave the Census Bureau with only weeks to contact hundreds of thousands of people in hard-to-reach communities, especially communities of color that are historically underrepresented.

Thank you.
