There’s a very simple and important reason why it matters to the people in my District that Planned Parenthood Action has endorsed our campaign in this race: for far too many in Missouri, especially women, healthcare access is poor, and hospitals and clinics have closed at alarming rates. For many people, care is completely nonexistent or inaccessible, and current state & federal leaders - including my opponent - have done everything they can to chip away at what little remains of adequate care.

Reproductive rights and basic reproductive care are in serious jeopardy, particularly in our more rural areas. But women there still need care; it is a human right, and a need, that should not be neglected or infringed on.

I appreciate everything you do to preserve what autonomy women in Missouri have left to make healthcare decisions for themselves and their families. I pledge to always protect this important right.

It’s time that we have a leader in Congress who will show up and fight every day for the hardworking people of Missouri’s 8th District. When I’m elected, I’ll do just that.
