Andrews Distributing recognized as Beverage Industry’s Wholesaler of the Year

Andrews Distributing Company has been awarded Wholesaler of the Year by Beverage Industry Magazine. The family-owned beer distributor is the only distributor to receive the honor twice since the award was created in 2011. “From 11 employees and 276,000 cases our first year to 1,600 team members and 35 million cases now, it is hard to put into words how thankful I am to be a part of this, and how excited we are about this award,” reflected Barry Andrews, founder and chairman of Andrews Distributing.

Amazon to hire 100,000 workers across North America

To keep up with the online shopping spike that has come with the spread of COVID-19, Amazon plans to hire 100,000 workers in the United States and Canada. Since the pandemic first struck, Amazon said it has already opened over 75 new fulfillment, sortation centers, regional air hubs and delivery stations throughout North America. Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations, Dave Clark, noted that the expansion comes with a strong commitment to safety for its employees.
