Last week we saw yet another horrific mass shooting in our beloved Texas.

This time, a gunman drove through Odessa and Midland killing seven people and injuring more than 25, including a 17-month-old child.

Enough.

Too many people are dying from senseless and preventable gun violence. It’s time for our leaders to do something.

In spite of inaction from state legislators, I know Odessa and Midland will remain strong and resilient. But they need our help right now -- here’s what you can do:

• The Odessa Chamber of Commerce has put together a fund supporting the victims’ families. You can donate to that here.


• You can find local places to donate blood, donate food, or seek counseling here.
