Let's make this simple:

If American taxpayers pay for the research, development, and production of a coronavirus vaccine, then it should be accessible, available, and affordable to all Americans.

Right? Sign my petition demanding that any future coronavirus vaccine is affordable for all of us.

Of course, in Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell's Washington, nothing is that simple.

Big Pharma wants to make sure that when a COVID-19 vaccine is developed, that industry can squeeze every last drop of money out of it. And if history is any guide, Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump want to help them.

In this pandemic, we're all in this together, right? Not exactly.

My priority is your priority: We should ensure as many people as possible have access to a vaccine. Because--and this is my bottom line--the best way to beat this virus is to make sure everyone, regardless of zip code, economic status, anything, has access to the vaccine.

And this is all why I'm working to prohibit pharmaceutical companies from price gouging on COVID-19 vaccines and treatment.

We have to put the interests of the American people above pharmaceutical executives' profits, and require that taxpayer-funded coronavirus treatments and vaccines are affordable for all.

We need a grassroots movement of Americans coast-to-coast demanding this--because ensuring as many of us survive this pandemic as possible should be our highest priority.

Jeff
