This High Holiday season, you can help refugees find welcome.

Dear John,
At this High Holiday season, we sound the shofar , the ram’s horn, to awaken our hearts and minds to the work of these days –
the work of reflection, of atonement, of renewal.
And this year, with so many of us gathering in new and different ways, we
created a special video to show how the Jewish community is working to take
action for refugees and asylum seekers across the globe.
Watch Hear the Call, Heed the Call now.

With nearly 80 million people worldwide displaced from their homes by violence
and persecution, the shofar ’s wailing cries ask us to pay attention to those who live at the margins.

May the sound of the shofar and the sound of our voices lifted together announce to all those seeking
refuge that they are respected, protected, and welcomed.
