As part of our ongoing mission to educate patients and consumers about the rights, risks and responsibilities associated with prescription opioids, we are excited to announce two new resources.

This week,
AAOA, in partnership with the PA Foundation, released two new videos featuring a team of physician assistants from the Cleveland Clinic to educate patients and caregivers about prescription opioid safety. The videos underscore the importance of having open and honest conversations between patients and their healthcare providers and provide useful information to patients who are prescribed opioids. Additionally, we are excited to share the recent launch of the AAOA-HealthyWomenToolkit. The toolkit underscores the seriousness of the country’s prescription opioid abuse epidemic on families across the country and includes resources tailored for women as both patients and caregivers.
