The GOP has long resorted to gerrymandering to safeguard their power. Thanks to their extreme map-rigging, Republicans in North Carolina held onto power in the legislature last November - even after they got less than half of the overall votes.

But under fair legislative lines, we have a chance at flipping BOTH state chambers in 2020. If we get a district map that allows voters to choose their representatives - not the other way around - 2020 could be the year Democrats finally flip states like North Carolina blue.
