Hi John,
The Trump administration has decided the U.S. won’t participate in the World Health Organization’s global coronavirus vaccine effort. Instead, top White House advisors are insisting the best path forward is for every American to catch the disease.
President Trump had previously considered the dangerous “herd immunity” strategy earlier in the pandemic before being talked out of it by Dr. Anthony Fauci, the country’s leading infectious disease expert.
But the president has decided that he prefers sycophants to scientists. And now the new White House medical advisor, Scott Atlas, is insisting our country adopt the “Swedish model” -- allow the virus to spread like wildfire, cross our fingers, and hope for the best.
Public health experts have condemned the strategy in no uncertain terms, but their warnings are falling on deaf ears. We promote public policy based on evidence, not egos. Will you join us in a rallying cry for common sense? Tell us now:
Do you want experts leading the pandemic response?
Thank you for your input -- we couldn’t do the work we do without you.
