Dear John,

Living through the COVID-19 crisis is making the looming crisis of climate change feel more real than ever and Mainers want to act [[link removed]] . Luckily, Maine is currently drafting a new Climate Action Plan due in December! We need you to get involved to make sure that the plan is strong and works for all Mainers.

The Maine Climate Council is hosting two half day meetings online tomorrow, September 9 and next Wednesday, September 16 from 9AM - 12PM. During these meetings, we expect the council to share the results of a cost/benefit analysis and an equity analysis of recommended climate strategies. They will also share the results of a “cost of doing nothing analysis,” and the survey responses they received from the public this summer. Please attend these important public meetings! You can register for the meetings separately here: September 9 [[link removed]] and September 16 [[link removed]] .

Whether you’re able to attend the meetings or not, please join MCV and our partners from around the state for an online “Half-Time Show” on Thursday, September 17 from 12-1PM. Experts from across Maine's conservation community will summarize and analyze the meetings and the council’s work to-date. Register here! [[link removed]]
