Hola Familia, Happy Labor Day!

I am thrilled to announce the support of Chris Smalls, the founder of the Congress of Essential Workers. Smalls came to national attention earlier this year when he was fired from his supervising job at an Amazon warehouse in Staten Island after he organized a work-stoppage that called out safety concerns amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

“New York needs a mayor who puts people ahead of corporate profits, who will stand up for workers instead of the wealthy and connected, and that’s Dianne Morales. Dianne has been on the frontlines working to improve Black and Brown communities, and that’s the experience we need in City Hall.”

Chris’ courage is an inspiration, and I’m honored to have his support. He stood up heroically to a corporate giant to protect himself, his colleagues and customers, and I am proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with him in the movement for Workers’ Rights.

keep our society moving are afforded the safety, dignity and salaries they deserve.
