I'm not a politician, John, not like others who've gone to Washington.

I'm a first-generation immigrant who grew up in a small town outside of Cleveland, Ohio. My parents moved here from India with nothing, and through lots of hard work and sacrifice, they were able to help my brother and me realize our American Dreams.

I learned about the power of empathy and public service from my mother. I went to medical school, became an ER doctor, and settled down in Arizona where I've lived for almost 24 years. After losing both my mother and nephew to cancer, I eventually shifted my focus onto cancer research advocacy.

I've seen firsthand how people suffer inside the walls of hospitals, as well as outside. A broken health care system and an economic system that only serves the wealthy few have forced people into increasingly desperate situations.

When I first became a doctor, I took an oath to help others and put people first. I can't just stand by and watch the GOP undermine our progress. I have to do more.

That's why I'm running to flip Arizona's 6th Congressional District blue and give the people of our state a leader they can finally trust to do what's right.

And I'm refusing to accept a single penny from corporate PACs because I never want there to be a question of who I serve. The answer is, and always will be, you.

Together, we will fight to expand access to affordable health care, make tax systems fairer to the middle class, and get rid of dark money in our politics for good.

But this race won't be easy, that's for sure. We're facing mountains of outside spending as special interests and corporate billionaires do everything they can to keep their grip on power in Washington.

This is one of the most competitive races of 2020. We need a surge of grassroots support to overcome the attacks and flip AZ-06 blue. Can I count on you to chip in to help us today?
