Beer goes back a long, long way – after humans learned how to plant, grow and harvest grains, it didn’t take them long to stumble on the fermentation process that would create beer and other alcoholic delights. Heineken USA launching new line of premium Mexican hard seltzers

Heineken is testing a new hard seltzer in McAllen, Texas and San Bernardino, California. Known as Canijilla, the hard seltzer will come in two varieties, including Mango Picosito, a sweet and spicy mix; and Limón-Pepino, a blend of cucumber and lime. The company is testing sales of the product in these markets and, if it does well, the product could expand to additional markets across the United States.

Miller Lite says forget 2020 and brings us back to the '70s with the Miller Timeshare

Miller Lite is helping 2020 get its groove back by bringing us good vibes through the Miller Timeshare. Miller overhauled what was once an everyday lake house to take people back in time to 1975. This Midwest pad located on Mona Lake in Michigan lets you escape 2020 and go back in time to more carefree, groovy days. Beer likely included.

(NY) Can recovery leases revive restaurants?

The current pain suffered by the restaurant industry throughout the country could be helped by a new model for leases being introduced in New York, helping both tenants and property owners and providing a model to be used elsewhere. Manhattan state Senator Brian Kavanagh and Assemblywoman Yuh-Line Niou are trying to introduce a bill that would enable New York City to create legislation that grants property tax abatements to building owners who agree to recovery leases with their current commercial tenants.

Trucking jobs rise by 10,000 in August

Truck transportation jobs rose by a solid 10,000 in August on a seasonally adjusted basis, according to data released Friday morning by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The data also showed a slight adjustment upward in the number of truck transportation jobs in July, and are now up roughly 17,000 from May.
