I wanted to reach out with a critical update. We just learned today that my opponent from 2016 (who is now the Chair of the State Democratic Party) just directed $30,000 from the party’s funds to my opponent’s campaign. This is in addition to a previous transfer of $15,000.
Today is the final day of the month, a fundraising reporting deadline, and I need to ask for your help if I am going to keep up with these huge party transfers. <[link removed]>
While we had a strong showing in the Primary Election, this race is far from over. Despite the evidence that I am the most qualified candidate for this position, money can easily sway votes and cost us this race.
The next 9 weeks are going to be an all-out fight to the finish. I thought 2016 was a tough race – but it was nothing compared to running during a global pandemic against a highly partisan opponent whose only campaign strategy is to distort my record and distract from her lack of relevant experience!
