When I was pregnant in 2023, we were thrilled. But these days, being pregnant in America can feel scary, too. Traveling to states where abortion care is criminalized can put a woman’s health at risk.

Sadly, this is the America we live in. Women in some states are granted full rights, while others suffer under draconian, dangerous rules that put their lives at risk.

I am deeply grateful that our story has been a happy one: we welcomed our son in 2024, and he is the light of our lives. All families deserve to live in a state that protects their rights and helps them thrive. That means access to reproductive health care based on science, not politics.
