Here's what's at stake: The 40-hour work week. Weekends. Safe working conditions. Overtime. These are just a tiny sample of the benefits that unions have fought for over the past decades.

Team –

Nine years ago, Republicans scored a blowout in the 2010 elections – and working families are still paying the price today. In states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and West Virginia, the GOP passed right-to-work legislation designed to devastate unions and the workers they protect. At every level of office, Republicans have worked to slash teachers' pay, undermine financial protections like overtime rules, and even threaten worker safety.

But working Americans are fighting back – and running for office. In New Jersey, Eric Houghtaling is a 40-year member of his local chapter of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers – and he flipped a critical New Jersey district in 2015. Champions for workers like Karen Mallard, Alex Askew, and Missy Cotter Smasal are running to flip the Virginia legislature blue in a matter of weeks.

State Democrats have working Americans' backs – and we need to have theirs. Can you chip in $10 to help elect legislators all over the country who will stand up for working families?

On Labor Day, we recognize the progress that they've fought for and won – and the work we still need to do. The protections that unions have fought for have helped millions of Americans be paid fairly, ensured lifesaving benefits, and more. But all that is at risk.

Please – pitch in right now to help elect state Democrats who will fight for more rights for workers – not fewer.

Thank you, and happy Labor Day –
