Friends, As summer winds down, I encourage you and yours to take a few moments to reflect on today’s significance. The Labor movement’s working men and women achieved many rights that so many of us take for granted, including the 40-hour work week, federal holidays, paid time off and benefits, and so much more. But under the Trump Administration and Republicans in Congress, workers’ rights are under attack. This District needs a real leader who will fight to protect workers’ rights, and I am the leader this District can count on!
