John, what country are they living in?

Wow. The first night of the RNC came and went, and it was...grim.

The theme from last night was "Land of Promise." The convention itself was upside down from reality. 

They pretended Trump saved thousands of lives from the coronavirus. In reality, he allowed over 175,000 Americans to die. 

Tonight they’ll take the stage to discuss the nearly identical theme of “Land of Opportunity” and it will be just as out of touch.

Over 200 years, millions of people built America as a “Land of Opportunity” through their hard work and entrepreneurship. They made the American Dream a reality. 

In less than four years, Donald Trump has broken our “Land of Opportunity.” 

The American way of life has been upended on Donald Trump’s watch. 

• Over 175,000 Americans have died from Covid-19 while Trump says “it is what it is”
• Millions of people are unemployed while Trump boasts about the stock market
• Americans are crying out for racial justice while Trump defends Confederate monuments 

Trump doesn’t care about the American Dream.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris understand the pain of this moment and all of our “kitchen-table” issues. They have the experience, compassion and decency to restore this country.

Joe Biden grew up in a middle-class family and became the Vice President of the United States. Kamala Harris is the daughter of immigrants who rose to become a United States Senator. They know first hand the importance of the "Land of Opportunity" and they will fight to defend it. 

Donald Trump will continue to tear it down.
