The 2020 Republican Convention: Night One
Here's what you missed yesterday!
Monday
Nikki Haley
Former Governor of South Carolina and Ambassador to the United Nations—Nikki
Haley, urged America to re-elect President Trump based on his record of
"strength and success." She warned of the Left's dangerous socialist beliefs,
and the “culture war.” Nikki detailed the Administration’s successes, like
being tough on China, ISIS, and the expansion of economic freedom. As the
daughter of Indian immigrants, she closed with a message of hope: America is a
"work in progress" and now is the time to build a "freer, fairer, better"
country.
"America isn’t perfect. But the principles we hold dear are perfect. If
there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that even on our worst day, we are blessed
to live in America. It’s time to keep that blessing alive for the next
generation. This president and this party are committed to that noble task."

Kimberly Klacik (MD-07)
Kimberly Klacik, a Republican candidate in Maryland, argued that Biden and the
Democratic Party have taken Black voters for granted for too long. She went on
to talk about the Left’s neglect of her district, demanding safer
neighborhoods, higher-paying jobs, and lower taxes. Klacik urged Republicans to
activate inner-city voters in hopes of Baltimore being an example of how the
GOP can deliver real results.
“I’m asking you to help President Trump complete this great American comeback,
and then I’m asking you to help me start this great Baltimore comeback.”
