what I say on TV, and how I talk with voters. I always come back to the

Be Fierce in how we show up for our families. Be Fierce in how we fight
for working people. Be Fierce when powerful interests try to tell us
what’s possible and what isn’t.

It’s a reminder to push forward and break ceilings, like I did as one of
the first Native American women elected to Congress and later as the first
Native American Cabinet Secretary in U.S. history — and because of what
we’re doing together right now, when we win this race, I will be the first
Native American woman elected Governor in any state.

Being Fierce is also a commitment to never back down. I learned that in
Congress when I stopped Donald Trump from threatening our public lands and
our communities, and again at the Department of the Interior when I
rebuilt after cuts, rollbacks, and attacks on conservation and working
families.

And now, when healthcare is gutted, costs go up, and the affordability
crisis is ignored, I won’t back down, I will Be Fierce. I will fight for
working families across New Mexico and deliver real results, not excuses,
and I will be sure to leave the ladder down for the next generation.

But, John, no one can Be
Fierce alone. This race is already one of the most competitive in the
country. Billionaires and national Republicans are preparing to spend
whatever it takes to flip New Mexico, and we can’t afford to start slow.
