This week at the DNC convention we had the opportunity to glimpse what a future without Donald Trump in the White House could look like: more inclusive, more equitable, and certainly more optimistic.

We heard from many inspiring speakers throughout the week. And right now we’d like to recognize three Latina elected officials in particular who we are proud to have representing our community and who remind us that our votes really matter -- we can elect leaders who will look out for our best interests!

Senator Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada: “Mr. President, Nevada is not intimidated by you. America is not intimidated by you.” Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York mentioned her gratitude to the “mass people’s movement.” Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham of New Mexico: "We have the chance this November to end two existential crises, the Trump presidency and the environmental annihilation he represents."

Friends, in just a matter of weeks we have the opportunity to elect more great leaders who will fight for us and help us move the country forward. But for that to happen we need to register thousands more voters across the country!

Here at Voto Latino we are kinda awesome at registering people to vote -- we’ve signed up more than 255,000 this year so far. But that only gets us halfway to our goal of 500,000 new voters by Election Day. We can make it, but we’re going to need your help.
