An important part of running a grassroots campaign is being honest with the people who power it. So I want to share every update from the campaign, even when it's tough news.

We ended last night a little under 4% short of our $70,000 public filing deadline goal. (If you were one of the many folks who helped us get over 96% of the way there, I hope you know how much I appreciate it.)

But on the bright side, we still have five days to hit our mid-month goal – so if we can hit our $100,000 goal by Monday at 11:59 P.M. MT, we'll be back on track.

As we hurtle toward the June 30 primary, and as my opponent is outspending us on the air right now, missing benchmarks like this means we might have to make tough budget cuts.

So in light of the pricey TV and digital ads our opponent is airing statewide, this shortfall couldn't come at a worse time. That's why hitting every deadline from here on out is vital.
