We knew this was coming.

Republicans' foothold in Oregon's Fourth Congressional District has been growing for a while. They've been waiting for the day when they could get rid of me and install a right-wing partisan loyalist.

Then, in 2016, Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump by just 554 votes.

As soon as they saw those numbers, Republicans in DC got to work scheming to take this seat away from us in 2020.

And - I hate to say it - they're making some headway. The professional election observers have been changing their predictions and declaring that our race is going to be more competitive than they thought.

Can you help me fight back against the GOP rage machine?

Republicans are losing ground almost everywhere in the country. So, they're betting big on split districts like ours. They've called in all of their big guns. So far, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Kevin McCarthy, and Donald Trump Jr have weighed in on our race and pledged maximum fundraising support for our opponent.

Look, you and I both, along with the people of southwest Oregon, share our progressive values. But that kind of fundraising and Super PAC interference can really muddy the waters.

I'm not sinking to that level. Instead, I'm counting on grassroots supporters like you to make sure we're able to get the truth out. Chip in $16 now to make sure we're fighting back with everything we've got.
