Follow up to ASBC's Briefing on the
Biden Climate Plan

Dear John,

Last week, ASBC hosted a webinar Briefing on the Biden Climate Plan with Tom Steyer, and other business leaders such as Eileen Fisher, Maryanne Howland, Ashley Orgain, and ASBC’s David Levine. Panelists discussed the roles of business leaders and legislators alike in formulating strategies to combat the climate crisis, and gave an overview of Biden’s Climate Plan which provides a comprehensive, national-level approach addressing climate change.

Close to 800 people registered and 600 attended the Webinar. You can find the recorded webinar here.

As we face overlapping crises of COVID-19, systemic racism, a faltering economy, and ever-worsening climate change, the need for a plan to lead the U.S. to sustainable recovery is more urgent than ever. As business leaders we have a responsibility to advocate for legislation which combats climate change and promotes equity and justice, for the sake of the planet, its people, and our economy. The high levels of engagement with this webinar give us hope for building a better world, and we look forward to continuing the work together.

Now more than ever we need to come together as a business community and make our voices heard as we advocate for key public policies. We invite you to step up your advocacy and join ASBC if you are not already a member.
