Here’s the truth, team —

This has been one of our worst fundraising months all year. Out of the thousands of people who receive and open emails just like this, less than one eighth actually make a donation.

If we can get just one or two more people who open these emails to make a donation, our numbers would soar and we’d be back on track to meet our August fundraising deadline tonight.

August is a notoriously tough time for fundraising.

During these summer months, people stop paying attention to politics because they’re on vacation or out by the pool with friends and family (as they should be!) but that means our fundraising is taking a pretty big dip and we need to work twice as hard to play catch-up.

The attacks from the Trump administration don’t let up just because it’s summer. And the fight for meaningful progress doesn’t just stop because of the “summer slump.”

Republicans are busy pushing through their dangerous agenda while they think no one’s watching. That’s why it’s so important we double down this month and do whatever it takes to stop them in their tracks.
