When I think about my values and my political opinions, I’ve always centered those beliefs around one thing: the future I want for my children.

My worst nightmare is finding ourselves ten or twenty years down the line, having done almost nothing to slow global warming, and reading apocalyptic headline after headline about the bleak future we’re facing in the next few decades.

My children deserve to grow up on a habitable planet, free of natural disasters exacerbated by climate change, free of pollution, free of fear for the future — and so do yours.
