Hi EARN Community,
Thank you to all who have registered for our virtual conference, EARNConversations 2020. We continue to be excited and thankful for your enthusiasm and engagement as we go virtual this year.
If you have not had the chance to register yet, please do so by September 15, 2020 ([link removed][UNIQID]) . For more information about the conference and agenda, you can visit the EARNConversations 2020 web page ([link removed][UNIQID]) . After you register, you’ll also receive an e-mail about how to download the EARNCon 2020 Whova app for the latest information about the agenda and speakers.
This year, EARN will again partner with Economic Policy Institute’s Program on Race, Ethnicity, and the Economy (PREE) which is dedicated to exploring how race, ethnicity, gender, and class intersect to affect economic outcomes in the United States so that we can craft equitable anti-racist policies. During EARNConversations for Building Power with Workers in 2021 and Beyond ([link removed][UNIQID]) , we will use the lenses of race, ethnicity, and gender to examine key issues, such as building power with workers during the pandemic, developing anti-racist solutions, and prioritizing Black and Brown workers during the economic recession.
Here are some of the latest resources from PREE in case you missed it:
* Latinx workers—particularly women—face devastating job losses in the COVID-19 recession ([link removed][UNIQID])
* Black women workers are essential during the crisis and for the recovery but still are greatly underpaid ([link removed][UNIQID])
* Black workers face two of the most lethal preexisting conditions for coronavirus—racism and economic inequality ([link removed][UNIQID])
* Black deaths at the hands of law enforcement are linked to historical lynchings ([link removed][UNIQID])
We hope you are looking forward to engaging in these compelling and important conversations! Register today ([link removed][UNIQID]) to join us at EARNConversations 2020 and join others prioritizing anti-racist solutions that recognize historic and ongoing social and economic injustices. Please email us at
