That's the donation I'm asking you to make – right now – to my campaign for governor ahead of next Wednesday's public filing deadline.

But I want to make sure you understand what your $5 has the power to do.

$5 to keep the lights on at HQ.

$5 to reach undecided voters with my vision for Colorado's future on the air and through social media.

$5 to get volunteers knocking on every door, in every neighborhood, across every corner of Colorado.

$5 to fight back against the guaranteed onslaught of attack ads from right-wing, billionaire-funded super PACs. 

$5 to forge a better politics here than what we see out of Washington – and to make Colorado the best state to live, work and raise a family.

Since Trump's reckless tariffs have sent the purchasing power of a dollar plummeting, you might not think your $5 would make that big of a difference.

Well, as you read this email, lots of other grassroots supporters are, too. And if all of you pitched in $5 now, we'd hit our public filing deadline goal in no time.

Realistically, though, I know not everyone will.

Still, I'm not a billionaire who can bankroll my own campaign like the president, and I don't take shady dark money gifts like his Republican allies, either. 

So if we're going to assemble the manpower, resources and reach that we'll need to win the governor's race this November, we have to start laying the groundwork ahead of time – and I can't do that without you.

Will you please rush just $5 (or anything you can spare) right away? More than just helping us reach this goal by 11:59 p.m. next Wednesday, it will immediately be put to work WINNING the Colorado governor's race.
