Hi,

Since February, there has been a sharp decline in voter registration rates
in California -- and nationwide -- due to COVID and precautions that
prevent in-person registration.(1) Last week, we wrote to you to support
the secret tool Courage California Institute built to counter large scale
voter disenfranchisement and ensure that every voice is heard at the
ballot box in 2020, and for years to come.

We are excited to announce the launch of “Your Power is Your Vote,” our
new campaign to support young people, people of color, and other high
potential voters to register and vote, with confidence, in the general
election.

People are demanding change. And in order to make change, we must be able
to vote for that change. Yet, so much work still needs to be done for all
Californians to understand how to vote this year. With “Your Power is Your
Vote,” we’ll make sure all Californians have the information they need so
that no eligible voter ever goes without having their voice heard at the
ballot. All Californians -- regardless of party or politics -- can come to
our new campaign website to register to vote, sign up for reliable updates
on the voting process, get reminders of key dates, find answers to
frequently asked questions, and access much more information about voting.
We will also engage potential voters by text throughout the voting
process.

Courage.

This year has been filled with enough doubt, confusion, and hardship. We
deserve -- and it is our right -- to elect the representatives we need to
lead us, especially now, through these difficult times. The combination of
COVID, the resulting economic downturn, and the uprising against systemic
racism and state sanctioned violence against our BIPOC communities have
exposed how unequal and unjust our society is. It has also revealed how
ill-equipped many of our elected leaders are to represent and advocate for
our communities. “Your Power is Your Vote” leverages proven digital
expertise to educate voters on the voting process. With Courage, we can
get unregistered voters on the rolls and to the polls.

realities our underrepresented communities have faced for generations.

We’re 75 days from the general election. And with more than four million
eligible voters in California who aren’t registered to vote, we need your
help to get our resources out to as many voters as possible before voting
day. (2)
