The new Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy, is implementing dangerous operational changes at the Postal Service that are causing serious mail delivery delays.

This is dangerous -- Americans depend on the USPS to communicate with loved ones, for paychecks, to vote by mail, and to receive vital prescription medications.

Veterans are particularly vulnerable to mail delays:

About 80% of the VA's prescriptions are filled by mail
Roughly 330,000 veterans receive prescription deliveries from the VA every day
Deliveries that used to take three to five days are now reportedly taking weeks
Over 142,000 New Mexicans who served in the military and who are eligible for health care through the VA could be affected

This isn't an understatement: Their lives are at risk.

DeJoy's actions can be traced all the way back to the source: President Trump.

DeJoy is a major Trump donor and a Trump appointee. And after months of attacking the integrity of voting by mail, Trump admitted that he's withholding critical funding for the Postal Service to hurt the delivery of ballots when Americans are expected to vote by mail in record numbers.
