Dear friend,
Although this week's Democratic National Convention has looked different than in years past, it has still been an incredible opportunity for Democrats to unite together. And when Joe Biden officially accepts the party's nomination for President of the United States on Thursday, it will be a historic moment.
Tomorrow night is also sure to be unforgettable as Senator Kamala Harris accepts the party's nomination for Vice President. For the first time ever, a Black and Asian-American woman will be on a major party's ticket. We get to watch history unfold.
I look forward to watching Joe Biden and Kamala Harris accept these nominations, and hearing their vision for an America that works for the people. But they won't be able to get any of that done if we don't protect and expand our majority in the House.
My race is one of the closest in the country. Will you pitch in $5, or whatever you can, to help us ensure we have the resources we need to win?
In order to make real progress, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are going to need partners in the House who are committed to passing legislation that will move our country forward. In the past two years, I've helped pass bills to lower the cost of prescription drugs, raise the minimum wage, and look out for working families.
I'm ready to keep fighting for all of these efforts and more, but we have to win re-election in November for this to happen.
So I'm personally asking: Will you make a contribution to our campaign? My opponent is loaning himself one million dollars in order to run against us, but I'm relying on support from grassroots donors like you.
Thank you for being a part of this team,
Andy
