Hello Supporter

A huge thank you for signing our letter to Buses Minister Simon Lightwood MP asking him to support better bus stops. We delivered the letter - signed by thousands of you - to the Minister at a bus stop outside the Department for Transport.

The letter asked the Minster to ensure the forthcoming government guidance for local authorities on the design and maintenance of bus stops prioritises accessibility, safety, comfort and up-to-date information to help improve bus stops everywhere.

We want to see this new guidance form a robust and comprehensive National Bus Stop Standard ([link removed]) and for the Government to work constructively with local transport authorities to deliver improvements quickly, so that we can really feel the impact of better bus stops as soon as possible.

With millions of us travelling by bus every day, bus stops play a vital role in our lives and communities. But, as our Better Bus Stops: creating a national bus stop standard ([link removed]) report found, bus stops have been neglected for far too long. With your help, we're changing that.
