Dear John,
Tragically, New York State has led the country in deaths due to the coronavirus. As the facts and data have shown, a large percentage of those deaths were our seniors residing in nursing homes.
On March 25th, there was an executive decision made by Governor Andrew Cuomo to move COVID-19 infected patients into nursing homes. It was a decision that he made unilaterally, without any input from elected officials or members of the state legislature, and it was a horrific one that cost the lives of at least 6,600 seniors - and counting.
In truth, the numbers are much higher given the discrepancy in reporting. New York has only been counting residents who died of COVID-19 on a nursing home property in its statistics, and not those who were transported and subsequently died at a hospital. There will be thousands more when it is all said and done.
Unfortunately, Governor Cuomo refuses to accept any responsibility and is actively working to cover up the truth. He tries to dismiss any criticism or calls for independent investigations as politically-driven and has buried and blocked all information related to his deadly decision.
One person looking for answers is Janice Dean of Fox News. Janice is an accomplished television personality and author, and she currently serves as co-host and senior meteorologist on Fox and Friends.
Janice, who lost both of her in-laws due to Cuomo's deadly policy has shown tremendous bravery in fighting for justice and truth on behalf of all families who lost loved ones. She was expected to testify at the NYS Legislature’s hearing on COVID-19 related nursing home deaths this past, but was denied the opportunity to speak due to a last-minute decision from the Democrats.
Well, we wanted to hear what Janice Dean had to say -- and I was happy to give her a platform to do so during this week's town hall. If you were unable to attend, I encourage you to watch the town hall replay below.
Sincerely,
