Major corporations, like Farmers Insurance, recently released public statements in support of racial justice.
However, while Farmers’ words say they support racial equality, their money says something different. Campaign finance records show that Farmers Insurance has donated a combined $25,000 to the opponents of Prop 15, who are trying to defeat this historic measure that will advance racial equality.
It’s going to take your voice, and the voices of THOUSANDS of Californians who are fed up with the status quo to demand change. That change requires holding corporations accountable for their actions. Join thousands of Californians in demanding Farmers Insurance not allow their donations to be used for anti-Prop 15 activities. Sign on here.
For more than forty years, Black, Latinx, AAPI and Indigenous communities have particularly suffered from systemic disinvestment in our schools and critical local services.
Prop 15 represents a turning point for these systemic issues by reclaiming $12 billion every year – for our schools, community colleges, and critical local services by closing corporate property tax loopholes – all while protecting homeowners and renters, small businesses, and agriculture from any changes.
Thank you for all that you do,
