Hi there,
All month, CVPA’s Civic Engagement team has been out in communities meeting residents at local Earth Month events.
They’re hearing about expensive electricity bills, worries about the impacts of data centers, and questions about why Pennsylvania still relies so heavily on expensive gas instead of low-cost solar and wind.
Folks need relief, and that’s why I’m so thrilled that more than 150 volunteers just like you have signed up for our Environmental Lobby Day in a few days!
Registration for Lobby Day is closed, but there’s no reason to have FOMO – even if you won’t be there, you can still have an impact.
Send a message right now to tell your lawmakers that you care about high electricity bills, data centers, clean water, and so much more.

Pennsylvania is falling behind, and we’re feeling it.
We’re paying too much to power our homes. We’re worried about whether a huge data center could get built in our community. Too many kids suffer from asthma caused by dirty power plants.
We’re prioritizing these and other top environmental challenges at our Lobby Day, including: - Holding utilities accountable and making sure decisions about rates and infrastructure actually protect the public
- Lowering electricity bills by accelerating clean, affordable power like solar and wind
-
Strengthening oversight of emerging energy demands — like data centers — so they don’t drive up bills for everyone else
- Creating jobs and boosting Pennsylvania’s economy through clean manufacturing and energy innovation
But we need your help to show there’s widespread support for these solutions.
Take two minutes right now and send a message to your lawmakers. The more people who get in on this, the stronger our message will be for lower electricity bills, less pollution, healthier communities, and more jobs. Plus, your message will show our strength in numbers as we head to Harrisburg on Monday, May 4 and meet with dozens and dozens of legislators.
