Johh,
Donald Trump’s handpicked Supreme Court just gutted the Voting Rights Act.
This decision is a green light for racial discrimination when it comes to drawing new Congressional districts all around the country. If anyone was confused about the GOP's plans to disenfranchise American voters ahead of the midterms, it's crystal clear now.
The fight for civil rights is never-ending. While this is a setback, I will continue to fight for a more fair and just country.
Two of the best ways we can push back are by electing Democrats up-and-down the ballot and taking back the House in the midterm elections. Donald Trump has a Congress full of yes-men rubber-stamping his agenda and giving him the unbridled power to do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. And that's exactly what we've seen happen since he took office. I am already fighting like hell against these horrific policies being pushed by Trump and his MAGA base, but true accountability will only be possible with the GOP OUT of the majority.
Congress has the power to stand up to the president. To reject dangerous policies, and to act as a very real check and balance.
But the only way we make that happen - to protect civil rights, workers rights, reproductive rights, immigrant rights - is by electing Democrats who are willing to do that work. And I know we can do that, if we all step up to do our part. Can I count on you to chip in $5 before our end-of-month fundraising deadline hits at midnight tonight? >> [link removed]

Diana
