Do you know what congressional district featured the closest vote in the country in the 2016 presidential race?

Somewhere in Michigan? Nope.

Pennsylvania? Nope.

Wisconsin? Wrong again.

The closest vote between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton was in Oregon's Fourth District. (Clinton won by just 554 votes out of 392,006 votes cast.)

You may not have known that, but Donald Trump and his billionaire pals definitely know it.

That's why Trump has decided to target Congressman Peter DeFazio for defeat.

Let's fight back and stand with Peter.

They're coming at him with everything they've got. They recruited a top-flight opponent and all their wealthy corporate cronies are funding him with giant piles of money. In fact, in just the last three months, Republican funders have funneled $914,000 to his opponent, Alek Skarlatos.

Why is that?

Well, start with the fact that Peter DeFazio co-founded the Congressional Progressive Caucus with Senator Bernie Sanders.

Peter's always fought for universal health care, including sponsoring Medicare for All; defended Social Security from those who would undermine it; and fought drug price gouging from for-profit pharmaceutical companies.

And of course, Peter has never been afraid to speak his mind. He always tells it like it is (sometimes with four-letter words!)

But most of all, Trump's pals don't like Peter because he's always been supported by grassroots donors, not big corporations. He simply can't be bought.

This is the toughest fight of Peter DeFazio's career. And we all need to stand up for him.

I need you to pitch in a donation of any amount (maybe $3?) to show Peter that you've got his back.

For years, Peter DeFazio has stood up to Wall Street and faced down one billionaire-funded SuperPAC after another. He's always done it with grassroots campaigns funded by small-dollar donations from thousands of supporters. And that's how we're going to do it again.

Pitch in for Peter. Let's help him fight back.
