Team,

New York Attorney General Tish James announced that she will
move to dissolve the NRA after an 18-month investigation that
found evidence of widespread fraud and abuse within the
organization.

This type of accountability in action is the perfect example of
why we need to elect more leaders who aren't afraid to stand up
to the corrupt gun lobby.

Can we count on you to chip in $10 right now to help expand our
majority in Congress with leaders who will stand up to the NRA
and tackle the gun violence epidemic head on?

Unfortunately, the lawsuit filed today is just the beginning:
It could take years to litigate. That means it is crucial we have
a majority in Congress willing to hold the NRA accountable in the
meantime.

A majority in Congress ready to stand up to the gun lobby is
the best path to getting real, meaningful legislation passed so
we can save lives.

It's never easy to take on the multimillion dollar gun lobby,
right-wing organizations like the NRA, or the politicians in the
pocket of special interests walking the halls of Congress. But we
can't sit idly by and do nothing.

Folks,: This is a grassroots operation, so we
rely on donors like you - not special interest money, like the
checks that fuel the NRA - to further our mission. Will you chip
in today to elect a majority in Congress that is ready and
willing to take on the NRA?
