Email from Massachusetts Republican Party What you need to know heading into the 2026 Convention...     FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS When and where is the Convention? The Convention will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. What time is check-in? Registration will be open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The Convention will gavel in promptly at 9:00 AM. Please note: delegates may not enter or exit the facility after 10:00 AM, as ballot preparation will begin. What should I do when I arrive? Enter through the main entrance, proceed through security screening, then check in to confirm your delegate status and receive your credentials. What is the DCU bag policy? Guests may bring in small purses/wristlets with a maximum size of 8x10 inches. Diaper bags, medical bags, and associated supplies such as breast pumps are also allowed but will be subject to a security check prior to entry. All other bags larger than 8" x 10" will not be permitted inside the venue. Are there any prohibited items? Prohibited items include items which could be used as a weapon, unlawful substances, bottles or cans, helium balloons, laser pens, non-retractable/collapsible umbrellas, backpacks, knapsacks, luggage, coolers, parcels, briefcases, tablets and like articles. Is there a registration fee? Yes. The delegate registration fee is $200. We strongly encourage paying in advance to expedite check-in on Convention day: [link removed] IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY - PAY YOUR DELEGATE FEE Can I bring guests who are not delegates? Yes. Non-delegate guests may attend for a reduced registration fee of $100. However, only credentialed delegates may sit on the convention floor and vote. Guests will be seated in designated spectator areas. [link removed] PURCHASE A GUEST PASS How does seating work on the convention floor? Delegates are seated by State Senate District. Your credentials will indicate your assigned seating section—please locate your section and take your seat upon arrival. How does voting work at the Convention? For contested races, voting is conducted by tally within each State Senate District. Delegates will approach the tally collector and indicate their vote when their name is called. If no candidate receives a majority on the first ballot, additional ballots will be conducted until a majority is achieved. Can someone vote on my behalf (proxy voting)? No. Proxy voting is not permitted. You must be present, credentialed, and on the convention floor by 10:00 AM in order to vote. What if I have a religious conflict with Saturday voting? The Convention rules allow for religious accommodations. Delegates who cannot be present due to religious observance may request an absentee ballot in advance. While the DCU Center does not own or operate any parking, they work closely with the garages and parking lots nearest to provide guests with several convenient options.
