“Georgia State Election Board Approves Absentee Ballot Process Improvements”
- Georgia Public Broadcasting
John: The Georgia State Election Board just made voting from home easier for Georgians this year!
This is a huge step forward. A record-breaking 1.2 million Georgians voted from home in the June primary, and that number is expected to double this November. Before this year, only around 5% of Georgia voters casted ballots by mail.
Taking steps like the ones Georgia just took to make sure voters can safely cast ballots from home is critical to preparing for record vote-by-mail turnout this November. If you can, chip in to fuel our efforts to improve voting by mail across the country.
Even before today, Vote From Home 2020 already worked to make sure Georgians can safely vote from home this November.
After Georgia voters stood in long and crowded lines for hours at a time to cast their ballots in person during the primary last June, we launched digital ads encouraging them to request their ballot to vote from home to avoid similar issues this November.
Your contributions help us run campaigns like the one we ran in Georgia all over the country. If you can, chip in today.
Thanks,
