Folks -
We are on the brink of a crisis here in America. Expanded
unemployment benefits have run out. Eviction and utility relief
is expiring in many states. All while the coronavirus continues
to wreak havoc on our economy, and hundreds of thousands of
Americans are dead.
Donald Trump's plan for relief? To slash Medicare and Social
Security via a payroll tax suspension.
Trump's do-nothing relief plan is just the latest example of
the shocking disregard the GOP has for working Americans. We need
to vote them out in November →

Trump claims he's giving the American people a lifeline in the
wake of Congressional inaction. But payroll taxes fund Medicare
and Social Security - programs that seniors and people with
disabilities rely on, especially now - and the suspension won't
do anything to help the millions of Americans currently
unemployed.
And the House did act, over 12 weeks ago: The Heroes Act is
sitting on Mitch McConnell's desk.
It includes another round of direct cash payments to the
American people, hazard pay for essential workers, extensions on
unemployment insurance, rent and mortgage assistance, additional
funds for small businesses and the Postal Service, and so much
more.
THIS is what the American people need. THIS is leadership. If
Donald Trump wants to help the American people, he can start with
getting members of his own party in the Senate to call a vote on
the Heroes Act!
We need to vote them all out in November, and that starts with
holding the House so my colleagues and I can continue our
critical work on behalf of American workers and families. Chip in
