Hi Friend —
Philadelphia residents have dealt with illegal dumping for far too long. Trash piling up in neighborhoods harms public health and sends a message that some communities aren’t worth protecting. On top of that, taxpayers spend millions every year on cleanup.
The City has started making progress, but many neighborhoods still aren’t seeing change fast enough. And without more funding, the programs that are working won’t have the staff and resources they need to actually solve the problem.
That’s why we’re urging City Council to increase funding for the programs that are already cracking down on illegal dumping: [link removed]
These are common-sense investments that will strengthen enforcement, support community efforts, and help make sure every neighborhood gets the protection it deserves.
Contact your City Councilmember today and tell them to support stronger, fairer, fully funded enforcement against illegal dumping.
